Item Description

Two pocket cut ARVN style.

Belonged to an early US adviser to the South Vietnamese Marines.

Many have referred to this pattern as the “SECOND” SVN Marine tiger stripe pattern, but now it is actually the THIRD type (or type-3). Please see pictures for the other types. There are FIVE (5) distintc types/pattern of the SVN Marine tiger stripes (1,2,3, 4 and 5).

Visible SVN Quarter Masters stamp of T.T.S.X.Q.T  (Trung Tam = Center, San Xuat = Production, Quan Trang = Military Garments)  Production year of 1964.  Shirt marks A7 (A = Ao = shirt).

South Vietnamese manufacture but sewn from Japan-contracted fabric and printing. In fact, this material is the very same exact cotton weight as the second type (type-2) of the ARVN blood cake camo fabric! The duller type.

Pretty rare camouflage pattern. Appeared in about 1964!!!

Excellent condition.

Very nice and decent size. About a size US medium/large.
